Job Summary: The Receiving Coordinator moves trailers using a yard truck, communicating with dispatchers, drivers, and plant/DC personnel to ensure efficient load and unload processes, as well as general management of business related processes pertaining to the yard. The Receiving Coordinator also assists with receiving duties as needed.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Moves trailers using a yard truck.
- Ensures correct positioning of trailers at loading and unloading.
- Communicates with dispatchers, drivers, personnel to ensure efficient loading and unloading
- Performs visual inspections of trailers for potential damage or issues.
- Reports any equipment issues or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
- Operates forklift equipment safely and efficiently to receive, handle, and store product in accordance with HACCP and GMP standards
- Utilizes the scanning system to create accurate locations and perform accurate inventory transactions as needed.
- Utilizes D365 to receive materials and move product between warehouses as needed.
- Assists team with cycle counting as needed.
- Supports and complies with GMP’s; understands and follows emergency action plan
- Supports food safety, quality and legality
- Ensures the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience: The minimum requirements below are representative of the education and experience required to perform this job successfully.
- High school diploma
- Experience operating heavy machinery, specifically yard jockey or similar.

- Valid CDL
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Good computer skills with the ability to learn new software quickly
- Strong attention to detail with good organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Basic math skills with the ability to conduct cycle counts and complete inventory adjustments
