The Quality Control Technician I will play a crucial role in ensuring all Reily Foods Products meet all customer and regulatory standards ensuring a food safe and consistent product.

Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods
- Understand product specifications, food safety and legal requirements and perform complete quality tests and analyses using appropriate tools and equipment
- Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to complete quality compliance documents, launch ad hoc data sheets and communicate with support functions
- Monitor and ensure production checks are completed for specified area
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions
- Calibrate and use all quality equipment for specified area
- Learn and maintain customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality
- Assist in cupping and other lab functions
- Follow all safety procedures and actively participate in safety training and safety system ownership initiatives
- Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and person; reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition to supervisor immediately
- Support and comply with GMP’s; understand and follow emergency action plan
- Support food safety, quality, and legality
- Ensure the operation is providing food-safe, quality products which meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Machine quality or food production experience preferred
- Knowledge of GFSI audit schemes, such as BRC and SQF and understanding of legal food safety requirements
- Technical skills include the ability to calibrate testing equipment, using RedZone manufacturing software, and become certified in Quality areas
- Interpersonal skills include good verbal and written communication, good time management skills, strong attention to details with ability to follow standardized procedures
