JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Car Wash Attendant

Position: The Car Wash Attendant is responsible for performing the day-to-day operations of a Reign Car Wash site to include delivering an exceptional guest experience and ensuring operational excellence per the requirements of the car wash and at the instruction of the Car Wash Manager. The Car Wash Attendant is responsible for the care of guest vehicles and ensuring the daily car wash operation runs efficiently while maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the facility and property.

Authority and Supervision:

• Reports directly to the Car Wash Manager

Responsibilities:

• Participate in the wash process; assist guests in selecting and purchasing appropriate wash package and answer any questions quests may have.
• Operating Point-of-Sale (POS) system, accurately manage guest payments and transactions.
• Implementing superior customer service skills, comprehensively illustrate the various wash membership packages to guests striving to induce new members.
• As needed, conduct pre-washing and rinsing of heavily soiled vehicles.
• Direct guest vehicles into car wash area, ensuring proper alignment of vehicles; conduct visual inspection of guest vehicles prior to entering wash tunnel to assess that vehicle condition is optimal to enter wash tunnel.
• Conduct daily inspections on wash equipment and, following internal operational protocol, carry out periodic equipment maintenance to ensure proper working order of car wash equipment at all times.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by regularly performing housekeeping functions throughout shift.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior Car Wash experience preferred, but not required

• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills – comfortable interacting with guests, team members, vendors, etc.
• Professional, positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Capable of working independently while also skilled at working collaboratively
• Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines
• Must be highly organized, able to problem-solve, and have extreme attention to detail
• Ability to move from one activity to another quickly, to shift focus, and reprioritize at a moments notice
• Comfortable with technology

• Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and arms with manual dexterity to type, write, reach overhead, push, pull, grasp, and grip
• Physical stamina to stand/walk 8 hours a day with ability to bend, squat, twist, and climb
• Capable of maneuvering and regularly lifting and or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 40 pounds, unassisted
• Ability to handle moderate stress in a fast-paced environment while performing multiple tasks

• Will be exposed to moderate to loud levels of noise on a consistent basis, such as those from machinery and general ambiance.
• Work is conducted both indoors and outside; will have regularly recurring exposure to all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.

COMPUTER SKILLS – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have:

• Prior demonstrable experience operating a personal computer using Windows and Microsoft Office software
• Verifiable experience operating standard office equipment including copier/scanner/printer, walkie/talkie, soft/cell phone, etc.

HOURS OF WORK

• Extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in keeping with the schedule of the car wash facility.
