Looking for an experienced mechanic to assist with maintaining company's fleet of heavy equipment. Compensation will be based on experience. Benefits offered.
Must have a valid Drivers License.
Skills:
- Safety focused
- Own tools for heavy equipment repairs
- 5 years' experience with heavy equipment repair
- Proficient with John Deere & Caterpillar diagnostic software and repairs
- Class 8 truck repair
- Proficient with undercarriage repair
- Proficient with Hydraulic system repair
- Highly proficient with lifting and hoist systems
- Proficient with electrical system trouble shooting and repair
- Proficient with DPF system diagnostics and repair
- Clean driving record and prefer Class B license
Responsibilities:
- Inspect trucks, excavators, bulldozers, and other heavy equipment for proper performance.
- Diagnose faults using computerized testing equipment
- Adjust equipment and replace faulty parts.
- Clean, lubricate, and conduct routine services on heavy duty vehicles.
- Clean and service machine attachments
- Report damaged, faulty, or neglected equipment to management
- Maintain inventory and appropriate records.
- Requisition replacement parts
- Order and pickup parts supplies necessary for assigned maintenance and repair work
- Interact with vehicle/equipment operators to help determine service and repair needs
- Observe safety codes at all times.
