Lead Quality Inspector

Reich Tool & Design, a Menomonee Falls based, family-owned and operated Tool and Die manufacturer for almost 60 years is looking to expand its Quality/Inspection Department. We are looking for an experienced, hands-on candidate with skills in finished/in-process part inspection and Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programming and operating. The qualified candidate would report directly to the Quality Manager and be responsible for the supervision and training of Quality Technicians, Metrology Apprentices and Quality Inspectors.

This is an 8-hour, in-person, first shift position Monday - Friday with possible overtime based on Company needs. Expected hours are 40 per week.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Aid in development of quality and inspection plans from design drawings, meeting Company requirements for ISO 9001-2008, ISO 13485.
• Supervise and train quality department staff.
• Program and operate CMM to specifications.
• Program and operate portable arm to specifications.
• Perform inspections on first piece, in process, purchased part, and finished material and products.
• Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications Necessary:

• High School education or GED
• 5-7 years related quality and inspection experience
• 5 years CMM programming experience
• Blueprint knowledge including GD&T
• Previous lead or supervisory experience

Preferred Requirements/Qualifications:

• Reverse engineering and Solid Modeling experience
• Zeiss CMM, FARO Arm and/or Micro Vu experience is a plus
• Prior experience working with automotive, aerospace and medical industries
• Prior machining or CNC operation also a plus

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
