Schedule: Monday–Friday, with rotating on-call responsibilities
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of one team within our OMH-certified Apartment Treatment Program. Our 98-bed program provides supportive housing services to individuals living independently in apartments throughout Albany, NY. This position is responsible for the oversight of approximately 36 program participants and the staff who support them.
The Program Coordinator provides supportive leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centered, recovery-oriented services. Responsibilities include supervising staff, overseeing documentation and Medicaid billing, monitoring compliance with OMH and agency standards, conducting quality assurance activities and supporting program operations. The successful candidate will be an effective leader with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and a commitment to helping individuals with serious mental illness achieve greater independence and community integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a 36-bed residential unit.
- Manage Medicaid billing processes and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
- Conduct routine chart audits to ensure compliance with agency and state regulations.
- Perform site visits and monitor program quality and service delivery.
- Supervise and support Case Coordinators and Service Plan Writers.
- Coordinate on-boarding, training and ongoing professional development for staff.
- Monitor program performance and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies, OMH, Medicaid and other applicable regulations.
- Provide ongoing program on-call support, ensuring timely response to operational and staffing needs.
- Foster a collaborative, person-centered and recovery-oriented environment.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in a human services setting or
- Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in a mental health or human services setting.
- Valid New York State driver's license.
- Experience working in mental health and/or substance use services.
- Strong organizational, leadership and time-management skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred
- Qualified Mental Health Staff (QMHS) designation.
- Experience with Medicaid billing, documentation and compliance.
- Previous supervisory or program management experience.

- Proficiency in electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.
