The Position: We are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our team!
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Experience with UGKPro highly preferred
- 5 plus years of payroll processing experience including multi-state payrolls
- 2 years of experience in benefits and total rewards
- Experience with a Human Capital Management system (payroll, HRIS, benefits, etc.)
- Superior attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent organization skills
- Ability to maintain and handle confidential information
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Customer service orientation with ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of employees
- Sense of urgency and excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to foster and support a team environment
Payroll Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll in a team environment
- Process commissions, bonuses, garnishments, taxes, and time card entry
- Modify and build reports within UKG under BI
- Maintain a high level of knowledge as it relates to all payroll, benefit, and tax transactions
- Ensure a smooth year-end to provide accurate W2’s and other reporting
- Audit payroll data, deductions and employee/employer taxes for accuracy
- Identify and participate in process improvement projects, including various implementations and upgrades
- Monitor and respond to help desk tickets to process employee changes
- Process benefit enrollments and perform regular file audits to ensure accuracy
- High volume, multistate payroll processing (700 employee organization)
- Compile payroll data such as garnishments, PTO, insurance and 401(K) deductions
- Compile management reports from payroll system software
- Establish, develop and maintain updates within filing system for payroll
- Identify key payroll issues and develop process improvement solutions
- Meet strict deadlines for multiple transactions; stay organized to complete each task in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Maintain employee payroll records such as exemptions, transfers, and pay rates
- Respond promptly to employees with payroll related questions
Payroll Responsibilities:
- Administer and support benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short/long-term disability, retirement plans (401(k)), wellness programs, and voluntary benefits

Provide timely and accurate responses to employee questions regarding eligibility, coverage, claims, and plan features.
Assist with benefits onboarding, open enrollment, and offboarding processes, including benefits orientation sessions and COBRA notifications.
Partner with third-party vendors, insurance providers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain accurate records.
Monitor benefits utilization and employee feedback to support enhancements and improvements.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, and FMLA.
Process enrollments, changes, and terminations in HRIS and benefits administration systems
- Support audits, filings, and reporting related to benefits programs (e.g., Form 5500)
