What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist - One-on-One Orthopedics position at REHAB AT WORK?
Are you an experienced orthopedic Physical Therapist who is tired of the pressure to treat two or three patients in an hour? At REHAB AT WORK in Waldorf, MD, our approach is different: low-volume, one-on-one care for people recovering from work-related injuries.
Put your orthopedic experience to work
You already know that a thorough evaluation, patient education, and the ability to adjust treatment make a difference. Here, those skills are central to how we treat injured workers. Patients may be returning to physically demanding jobs, and their rehabilitation often involves goals beyond basic pain relief or range of motion.
In addition to outpatient orthopedic treatment, REHAB AT WORK provides Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), work hardening, and industrial rehabilitation. If these services are new to you, we have an established training and mentorship program.
What you'll do
- Evaluate patients with orthopedic and work-related injuries.
- Deliver individualized, one-on-one treatment.
- Develop and adjust treatment plans based on functional progress.
- Perform FCEs and participate in work hardening programs.
- Help patients understand their recovery and the physical demands of returning to work.
- Coordinate with nurse case managers and insurance adjusters.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Who fits this role
This post is written for PTs with outpatient orthopedic experience who want a change of pace and a chance to expand their clinical work. You must be licensed or eligible for Physical Therapist licensure in the state where the job is located. Experience in workers' compensation is useful but not essential. Spanish skills are a plus.
What you'll receive
We offer $80,000–$120,000 per year, a monthly clinic bonus paid when your clinic beats its monthly goal, plus an annual year-end bonus, a 401(k) with match, medical/dental/vision insurance, life and disability insurance, an employee assistance program, paid time off, continuing education, and license reimbursement.
If you'd like to keep practicing orthopedics with more emphasis on individualized treatment, we invite you to apply at REHAB AT WORK in Waldorf, MD..
