Summary
The Quality Control Technician plays a key role in ensuring products within the Distribution Center meet company quality standards and specifications. This position involves conducting inspections, audits, and product testing, while documenting results with accuracy and clarity. Working both independently and as part of the QC team, the technician helps maintain high-quality standards, supports training initiatives, and contributes to efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook for documentation and communication.
- Access and interpret reports through Power BI (e.g., purchase order WIP, fiber content data).
- Read and apply Tech Packs and Packaging Specifications.
- Retrieve and process quality documentation via the CTP Portal (SharePoint).
- Review vendor labels and TOP (Top of Production) packaging against specifications; report findings to vendors and the QC team.
- Apply Acceptance Quality Level (AQL) standards to determine inspection sample sizes.
- Conduct inbound product inspections and audits, identifying and reporting non-conformance issues.
- Accurately document results using photos, reports, and established communication channels.
- Review and process production sizing samples; share results with vendors and internal teams.
- Manage sample requests to ensure correct specifications are used.
- Provide training and guidance to team members when needed.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support QC team members with daily activities, projects, and special assignments.
- Partner with other Distribution Center departments to ensure smooth operations.

Required:

- Proficiency with measuring tools (e.g., ruler).

- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift to 40 lbs., and operate a manual pallet jack.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, visual and mental alertness.
- Commitment to safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in warehouse operations.
- Prior quality control or inspection experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
