We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor ) those with Gambling designation are STRONGLY encouraged to apply to join our team at Rego Park Counseling. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' substance abuse and co-occurring mental health needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Provide individual counseling and facilitate group therapy sessions focused on addiction recovery.
- Implement and monitor client progress in accordance with treatment goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the treatment team to ensure integrated and coordinated care.
- Assist clients in accessing community resources and support services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and interventions.
- Adhere to the ethical guidelines and regulations set forth by relevant governing bodies.
Requirements:
- CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) certification.
- CASAC-T
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, counseling). (Nice to have)
- Demonstrated experience in providing substance abuse counseling services.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and documentation standards.
- Excellent counseling and assessment skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software.
- Russian/ Spanish speaking is a plus!
