What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Lecturer in Math Education position at REGIS COLLEGE?
Summary
The Department of Education at Regis College seeks an Adjunct Faculty member beginning in the Summer 2026 semester. The selected faculty member will teach Math Education courses in the department beginning in Summer 2026.
Courses for the summer could include one or any combination of the following:
- ED202: Early Childhood and Elementary Mathematics Curriculum
- ED207: Early Childhood and Elementary Mathematics Methods
A minimum of a master’s degree and 10 years of teaching experience is required. Additionally, experience working with pre-service and in-service teachers in coaching, mentoring, professional development, and/or teaching capacity is required.
Future course opportunities, in addition to those listed above, are dependent on department and school need, but priority will be given to those who can teach in-person courses at the undergraduate level during the school day and/or early in the evening. Education classes are traditionally offered either MW or TR from 8AM-5PM (1.25 hours/day) or one day per week from 5PM-7:30PM.

Essential Functions
- Teach on campus face-to-face courses and/or online asynchronous courses
- Keep course curriculum current and relevant to today’s classroom curriculum
- Provide timely feedback to students
- Please note that Regis College Adjunct Instructors are not required to attend school or department meetings (though they are welcome to do so), conduct academic advising, or serve on standing committees

Requirements
- Experience teaching Math in the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education public-school educator in the PK-12 MA public school system
- Knowledge of curriculum development based on Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Math frameworks requirements
- Hold Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education valid licensure in a minimum of one of the following areas:
- Early Childhood (PK-2) and/or Elementary (1-6)
- Mathematics (5-8 and/or 8-12)
- An earned master’s degree in a discipline related to education with a minimum of 10 years of successful teaching experience
- Prefer teaching experience in higher education and/or adult education
- Ability to uphold the university’s commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
- Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in noise, odors, etc.
Compensation
- $3,481.82 per 3 contact hour course for faculty with a Master’s degree (pro-rated for 1 and 2 contact hour courses)
- $3,700.62 per 3 contact hour course for faculty with a Doctoral Degree (pro-rated for 1 and 2 contact hour courses)
