Job Description:
At Regions, the Regions Investment Management (RIM) Trader trades equity or fixed income securities for high net worth and institutional clients and ensures that orders conform to Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
Fields internal questions from Portfolio Managers, Trust Officers about proper trading procedures, securities and markets
Assists in research and resolution of settlement issues
Oversees broker relationships including monitoring and reporting of trade cost analysis
May oversee the annual equity commission study
Primary focus is on daily deliverable of routine and defined outputs, while at the same time developing knowledge of the broader context in which the work is being performed
Associates at this level have work thoroughly reviewed and checked by more senior associates
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
This position is incentive eligible.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Three (3) years of general work experience
Preferences
General knowledge of equity and fixed income markets and securities.
General knowledge of security settlements
Skills and Competencies
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

Compensation Details
Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
Job Range Target:
Minimum: $61,663.25 USD
Median: $84,200.00 USD
Incentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn incentives based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
