Vehicle Patrol - Armed Security Officer (Class G License Required)

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-focused Security Officer to provide security services at a government facility. The ideal candidate will serve as the a point of contact for employees, visitors, contractors, and government personnel while maintaining a secure and welcoming environment. This position requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.

We are looking for:

• Vehicle Patrol : Friday to Sunday from 9pm to 5am

Areas: Fort Lauderdale, 33315

Duties

• Staff the front security desk and maintain a professional presence at all times.
• Greet, screen, and assist visitors, employees, and contractors entering the facility.
• Verify identification, issue visitor badges, and maintain visitor logs.
• Monitor access control systems, security cameras, alarms, and other security equipment.
• Enforce facility access policies and security procedures.
• Conduct routine security checks of the lobby and designated areas.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, or suspicious activity.
• Notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders when necessary.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
• Answer incoming calls and provide general information or direct inquiries to the appropriate office.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive government information.
• Work collaboratively with facility management, law enforcement, and emergency personnel when required.

Skills

• Previous experience in a security or law enforcement role.
• Provided evidence of have served at least 2 years in a responsible full-time security position.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle emergency situations with composure and professionalism.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• You must have a valid Class D License
• You must have a valid Class G License
• You must have a valid Driver's License.
• You must agree to be subjected to a FBI Background check
• You must be able to pass a physical exam
• Must be able to read, write and understand English
• You must agree to be subjected to a criminal background check
• You must be able to pass a drug screen
• You must be legally eligible for employment in the United States (you will be required to provide documentation to verify eligibility)
