Job Summary and Qualifications

Assists Surgicare with sterilization of equipment and supplies for patient care. Maintains accurate sterilization records and prepares quarterly report for the infection control nurse.

Qualifications:

• BCLS, and CRCST (IAHCSMM), or CBSPD
• Preferred: CRCST or CBSPD, CIS (IAHCSMM), CER (IAHCSMM)
• Minimum: SPD Externship Completion
• Preferred: Previous hospital experience
• High School Diploma/GED, and Sterile Processing Institution
• Ability to follow policies and procedures related to infection control practices/instrument decontamination and sterilization.
• Preferred: Ability to identify surgical instruments, ability to operate sterilizers. Knowledge of sterilization techniques.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
