What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Tech (Day Shift) position at MFS Talent?
Shift : Days - 8 hours, 40hrs / week-Work location : Onsite, Palo Alto, CA-Compensation : $35 to $45 per hourDuties and Responsibilities-Duties and Functions (Major functions listed in order of importance)-Performs duties as assigned by following the policy and procedures of SHC and LPCH and the Sterile Processing Department.-Works collaboratively with peers to achieve department goals and organizations vision.-Develops an understanding of and conforms to standard procedures and methods used to decontaminate, clean, inspect assemble, package, sterilize, store and distribute items and instrumentation within applicable Federal, State and other regulatory agencies including JCAHO.-Totals your shift production report of activity and appraises Lead Technician or Supervisor of issues and needs. Manages information utilizing appropriate manual or electronic systems for specific shift work activity. Reports any discrepancies or unusual activity to the Lead Technician.-Assures the prudent use of resources efficiently.-Maintains professional self-development by participating in education opportunities available both internally and externally.-Articulates Patient Safety Goals.Education Qualifications- Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying. Preferred-High School Diploma or GED equivalent RequiredLicenses and Certifications-CRCST - Certified Registered Central Service Technician within 1 Year or-CSPDT - Sterile Process / Dist TechExperience-Preferred : 2 years' experience in Sterile ProcessingBenefits-Health / Dental / Vision Insurance-Sick time off
