Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis.- Reviews correspondence to ensure proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and compliance with required formatting standards.
- Manages and tracks schedules, coordinates events, and secures meeting space to support organizational activities.
- Manages time and attendance records and assists employees in accurately completing timesheets.
- Prepares and submits travel, budget, and procurement documents in accordance with organizational requirements.
NOTE: Education can not be substituted for experience at this grade level.

Responsibilities:
You will serve as an Administrative Assistant and be responsible for performing a variety of clerical and office management functions essential to the efficient and effective operation of the Division.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
- Screens all correspondence for the Division Chief to properly route for completion
- Exercises exclusive control over the Division Chief's calendar and has full authority to schedule and commit the Division Chief's time
- Responds to inquiries and addresses administrative issues brought to the Division Chief by staff members
- Serves as timekeeper for multiple divisions, ensuring accurate and timely recording of attendance and hours worked
- Completes all division-level requirements related to property management, budgeting, procurement, and staff travel
