Position: Crisis Specialist

Regional Health Systems is Northwest Indiana’s largest provider of community-based mental health care, primary health care and addiction treatment services. We offer adults and children—both uninsured and insured—integrated care through our community mental health center and federally qualified health center. Regional Health Systems is a member of the Regional Care Group.

Requirements:

• Education: BA, BS in psychology, social work, or related field; AA in psychology, social work or related field with lived experience or required experience.
• Experience: 2 years of experience in a similar position in a social service agency.

Shift: Full-time, Non-Exempt; Mon, Tues, & Wed - Evenings (4p - 12a) & Friday & Saturday - Days - 8a - 4p

Salary: $17.93 - $23.31 per hour, depending on experience per hour; plus $2.00 unit differential

Position Purpose:

The purpose of the Crisis Specialist is to act as an immediate portal for acute and intensive services for individuals who are already receiving or requiring immediate intervention and to provide a means assessing acute mental health crisis by phone or in person on a 24-hours-per-day basis. The Crisis Specialist will provide support to the Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Department.

• Emergency Detention Orders
• Case Presentation
• Intake/Assessment
• Treatment Planning
• Mobile Crisis Response
• Other duties as assigned.
