What are the responsibilities and job description for the EMT Special Events position at Regional Ambulance Services?
Mandatory Training Dates
All Special Events new hires must be able to commit to the below (all-day) training days in order to be considered for this position (all three days are required, no exceptions).:
May Training - May 4, 14 & 15
Per Diem Requirements
Required to work (at minimum) the following -
2 Special Event shifts per month during the months of May - November & 1 Special Event shift per month during the months of December - April.
Pay
This is a per diem position that pays a set rate of $16.50/hour.
Opportunity
Provide basic life support in a pre-hospital setting to patients who are ill and/or injured during local small and large-scale events (Reno Rodeo, Great Reno Balloon Race, Nugget Rib Cook Off, concerts, Reno Aces Baseball games, University of Nevada Reno Basketball and Football games, etc.). The EMT will make decisions to determine medical treatment based on the assessment of the patient in keeping with established scope and protocols; considering safety decisions; whether or not additional equipment and/or transportation needs should be initiated.
Qualifications/ Experience Requirements
- Current State of Nevada EMT certification required.
- Ability to obtain Ambulance Attendant License with the State of Nevada upon hire.
- Current AHA BLS/CPR certification required.
- Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
Salary : $17
