What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Education Instructor position at Regional Ambulance Services?
REMSA Health is seeking qualified instructors with the American Heart Association (AHA), National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) to help instruct courses held at our Education and Training Center. This position has constant interaction with community members, businesses and other local organizations. This position will be responsible for providing education to various audiences and companies as scheduled by the REMSA Education and Training Center.
Applicants must be certified to teach under one of the following instructor certifications:
-American Heart Association Instructor (AHA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
-National Association of Emergency Medical Technician (NAEMT) Instructor
-NRP Instructor
Other requirements:
- Two (2) year’s of facilitating courses preferred.
- Experienced public speaker requiring little supervision with organization and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required.
- Must be able to meet the position’s minimum hour requirement, which is to teach one (1) class per quarter.
