Adult Education Paraeducators assist Instructors and other professional practitioners by providing instructional support to further enhance the efficiency and productivity of educational environments at the Spotsylvania Career and Technical Education Center.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supports adult education instructors as they plan and implement a variety of courses intended
to actively engage, inspire and empower adult learners. - Assists adult learners with the organization and completion of daily work assignments.
- Assists with evaluating and testing adult learners.
- Works with small groups of adult learners in various subject areas.
- Performs routine clerical duties such as copying, typing, answering/making telephone calls, and
basic troubleshooting as needed. - Attends training as needed to support job functions

Education and Experience:
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of two (2) years working with groups of individuals either within an instructional, educational or related setting
Preferred
- Associates Degree from an accredited college or university

Employment Terms: This position is classified as an as hourly support role. The schedule for this position will be considered
part-time and structured on an hourly, as needed basis. This position is evaluated annually.
