Job Goal:
The Regional Coordinator - Performance & Accountability Strategy Services supports Region 4 and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) by developing and delivering professional development, reports, and presentations that translate accountability data and requirements into clear, actionable information. This role supports improved student achievement, school performance, and post-secondary readiness by ensuring accountability information is accurate, aligned to Texas Education Code (TEC) and TEA guidance, and effectively used by LEAs for planning and implementation.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s degree
Certification
- Texas Educator Certificate, preferred
Experience
- Three years of experience in a leadership role at the campus or district level
- Five years of experience in public education
- Experience developing and delivering professional development in accountability to campus and central office staff
- Experience creating reports and presentations to communicate assessment and accountability data
- Experience supporting districts or organizations in accountability, assessment, or performance reporting
Special Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of state and federal accountability systems
- Working knowledge of Texas Education Code (TEC) and TEA guidance, with ability to research, analyze, and communicate accountability impact
- Ability to organize, validate, and interpret data for accuracy and alignment to accountability rules
- Ability to translate technical data and policy into clear, actionable information
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Central office experience
- Experience supporting implementation of data-informed improvement efforts
- Ability to connect accountability indicators to instructional practices and student outcomes
- Ability to simplify complex information for a range of audiences
- Experience as a district accountability lead or similar role
Major Responsibilities:
- Support regional efforts to improve student outcomes and increase the number of high-performing schools.
- Develop and deliver professional development to LEAs on accountability systems, data, and requirements.
- Facilitate data-driven conversations with district and campus leaders to support planning aligned to student achievement, school performance, and post-secondary readiness.
- Develop clear, accurate reports and presentations that communicate accountability data and expectations.
- Organize and validate accountability data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and alignment with established rules.
- Research accountability requirements, including TEC and TEA guidance, and apply findings to materials and support.
- Provide structured follow-up with LEAs to monitor implementation of data-informed actions and reinforce expectations.
- Identify gaps between planned actions and implementation and provide support within established accountability frameworks.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Director to align training, reporting, and messaging to accountability priorities.
- Maintain ongoing communication with LEAs to support service delivery and consistency of information.
