GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Woodbury Middle School social studies teacher works to implement a comprehensive history and social studies curriculum across grades 68. Woodbury Middle School social studies teachers are leaders in their field and specialize in meeting students' needs in alignment with state and national standards.
Teachers work collaboratively with instructional leaders to develop engaging, rigorous lessons that meet the needs of all learners. A commitment to research-based instructional practices, including small group instruction and differentiated learning, is essential. Teachers strive to challenge students through inquiry-based learning while fostering critical thinking and collaboration across content areas.
The candidate must demonstrate the following:
SALARY:
$130 per day for the first 10 days, $257.90 per day beyond 10 days
WORK YEAR:
Per contract (Last day of school currently scheduled for June 22, 2026)
QUALIFICATIONS:
State of Connecticut Certification Preferred
