ReGenesis Health Care is seeking experienced and motivated Senior Pharmacy Operations Technicians to support the daily operations, efficiency, and continued growth of our pharmacy services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician who is ready to take the next step into a senior-level role. In addition to traditional pharmacy technician responsibilities, you will serve as a resource and mentor to other technicians, assist with training and scheduling, support inventory and pharmacy workflow, troubleshoot operational issues, and help implement strategies that strengthen our pharmacy operations.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, dependable, patient-focused, and comfortable taking a leadership role in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

What You'll Do

As a Senior Pharmacy Operations Technician, You Will

• Prepare, package, label, and dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervision.
• Perform prescription and medication order entry and assist with insurance processing and billing.
• Verify medication quantities, patient information, and prescription details according to established procedures.
• Support pharmacists with medication preparation, inventory management, and workflow coordination.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to pharmacy technicians and assist with onboarding and training new employees.
• Coordinate daily technician assignments and help maintain an efficient pharmacy workflow.
• Assist with technician scheduling and implementation of pharmacy updates, operational changes, and new strategies.
• Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor medication and supply inventory, including on-hand quantities, reorder points, procurement, replenishment, and stocking.
• Help manage pharmacy supply orders and inventory return processes.
• Assist with reviewing inventory turns and valuation and identifying excess stock for return to the applicable wholesaler.
• Handle controlled substances and other medications in accordance with applicable laws and pharmacy procedures.
• Troubleshoot prescription, insurance adjudication, inventory, pharmacy software, and customer-service issues and appropriately escalate complex matters.
• Assist with quality assurance initiatives and identify opportunities to improve pharmacy operations.
• Maintain HIPAA, medication-safety, infection-control, and other applicable standards.
• Work with the Credentialing/Reconciliation Specialist to support accurate and efficient submission, tracking, and tracing of the 340B Rebate Model.
• Support inventory practices consistent with ReGenesis standards and DSCSA requirements.
• Participate in strategic pricing initiatives and periodically identify lower-cost product opportunities to help improve patient affordability.
• Participate in networking and educational opportunities that support the continued growth of ReGenesis' FQHC 340B and retail pharmacy business.
• Meet at least quarterly with the Chief of Pharmacy Operations to discuss pharmacy updates, programs, improvements, and future strategies.

What We're Looking For

Required/Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current pharmacy technician registration or certification as required by state regulations.
• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred or required depending on the position.
• Previous pharmacy technician experience with demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Minimum of one year of previous ReGenesis Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Strong knowledge of medication names, dosage forms, pharmacy calculations, and pharmacy procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong commitment to medication and patient safety.
• Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer-service skills.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  
  

Senior-Level Skills

A successful Senior Pharmacy Operations Technician should demonstrate advanced pharmacy workflow knowledge, strong problem-solving and leadership abilities, accuracy, and the ability to train and support other pharmacy technicians while maintaining high standards of patient safety and customer service.

Candidates should also have excellent working knowledge of PioneerRx or comparable pharmacy software, eClinicalWorks (eCW) or another medical electronic system, and Azara.
