Responsibilities
As a technician at Regency Auto Repair you will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing engine performance, drivability, and electrical issues using scan tools, oscilloscopes, and service manuals
- Performing complete vehicle inspections and providing digital reports to our customers that detail necessary repairs and services
- Completing a wide variety of automotive services including, but not limited to: brakes, timing belts, suspensions, alignments, cooling systems, and A/C
- Test driving customer vehicles on the shop's service lane or local roadways to replicate customer issues or to verify completed repairs
- Maintaining a clean and organized work space as well as properly disposing of used automotive fluids in accordance with the Missouri DNR
- Communicating directly with the service writer to ensure customers are provided thorough and easily understood explanations
Qualifications
To be considered for a position at Regency Auto Repair you must have:
- At least 3 years of professional experience in an independent shop environment
- A strong foundation of diagnostic and mechanical training. Must be able to accurately diagnose and repair vehicles using shop equipment and tools. Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and service manuals
- ASE certifications are preferred, but not required. We will cover the cost of all ASE exams and renewals
- Must bring in and maintain a working set of core tools. Shop tools and specialty equipment will be provided
- A valid Missouri Driver's License and clean driving record.
- Reliable, honest, and professional communication skills both with the service writer and our customers
- Prides himself on his/her knowledge and skill when performing quality repairs.
Pay: From $32.00 per hour
