Role PurposeThe Alumni Coordinator amp; Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for supporting long-term recovery engagement for alumni while expanding the organization’s presence in the community. This role combines direct alumni engagement, event coordination, and proactive outreach to build partnerships with recovery organizations, referral sources, and local community resources. The goal of this role is to strengthen alumni connection, improve recovery outcomes, increase engagement with community partners, and contribute to referral pipelines and brand visibility.
Core ResponsibilitiesA. Alumni Engagement- Complete 40 outbound alumni contacts daily (calls, texts, emails) to provide support, follow-up, and check-ins.
- Send one weekly email blast with updates, resources, and event reminders. Suggested 3.
- Plan and host one monthly alumni event (in-person or virtual).
- Maintain active communication with alumni via email, text platforms, or digital groups.
- Respond promptly to incoming alumni needs, questions, or concerns.
- Host a monthly virtual alumni meeting on Wednesday via Zoom.
- Gather Exit Surveys when client discharges.
- Support alumni during transitions post-treatment and connect them to recovery resources.
- Track all alumni interactions, outcomes, and follow-ups in Salesforce.
- Build relationships with local recovery organizations, sober livings, IOPs, harm-reduction resources, and community partners.
- Attend community meetings, open houses, and networking events to raise program visibility.
- Schedule and conduct outreach visits weekly to local coalition partners and community leaders.
- Promote alumni events and programs through community-facing channels.
- Identify opportunities for alumni to participate in volunteer service, advocacy, or recovery initiatives in the community.
- Serve as a positive representative of the organization at community events, fairs, and professional gatherings.
- Bring community feedback to leadership to enhance partnership opportunities.
- Follow up in Salesforce with incoming admissions to support smooth handoffs or transitions.
- Communicate with Admissions, Business Development, and Clinical teams to coordinate alumni stories, referrals, or community input.
- Assist with alumni contributions to marketing content (testimonials, stories, speaking opportunities).
- Document all alumni outreach and interactions in Salesforce daily.
- Maintain accurate reports for community outreach activities, contacts, and outcomes.
- Submit weekly reports to leadership on outreach volume, alumni engagement, and event performance.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and privacy standards at all times.
- Daily outbound alumni contacts: 40 per day / 240 per week
- Weekly alumni email blast sent: 100% weekly consistency
- Monthly alumni event hosted: 1 per month, minimum 15 participants average

- Experience in alumni coordination, peer support, outreach, or behavioral health preferred.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, organize events, and represent the organization professionally.
- Comfortable with public speaking and community networking.
- Proficient in Salesforce or willing to learn.
Combination of on-site, field-based outreach, and occasional evening/weekend event coverage. Travel to community partners and events required (mileage eligible for reimbursement depending on policy).
Salary : $48,000 - $55,000
