We are seeking an experienced and proactive Regional Human Resources Manager to oversee HR and payroll operations across multiple locations in Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The Regional Human Resources Manager will oversee and support all HR and payroll functions across several skilled nursing facilities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with all state and federal employment laws, promoting a positive work culture, and maintaining payroll accuracy and integrity. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, knowledgeable in healthcare HR practices, and capable of auditing and reviewing payroll for financial and regulatory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and support HR and payroll operations across multiple nursing home facilities in Massachusetts.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and healthcare industry standards.
Conduct regular HR and payroll audits to identify discrepancies, ensure accurate financial reporting, and minimize compliance risks.
Partner with facility leadership to address employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR best practices.
Assist facilities with recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to support staffing needs.
Monitor and review payroll submissions for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies.
Provide training to HR and management staff on regulatory updates, documentation, and policy adherence.
Collaborate with Chief People Officer to analyze the financial impact of payroll and HR decisions.
Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with HIPAA and personnel standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a regional or multi-site healthcare role (Skilled Nursing Facility experience strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of Massachusetts and Federal labor laws, payroll compliance, and healthcare HR practices.
Proficiency with payroll systems (such as Empeon, ADP, Paycom, or Kronos) and HRIS platforms.
Exceptional analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
Ability to travel daily between facilities throughout Massachusetts.
