The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for aligning company objectives with employees and management. The position partners with department leads to help management and employees meet the staffing and managerial objectives of the organization. The HR Generalist maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, its plans, and its culture. The HR Generalist plays a key advisory role in the development, implementation, and constant evaluation of all Human Resources strategy and procedure.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages benefit and compensation programs
- Provides HR guidance and support to managers and employees when appropriate. These include areas such as payroll, benefits administration, and performance management and employee relations.
- Active partner in the staffing and sourcing process. Uses internal and external screening tools and assessments.
- Assists in analyzing performance trends to inform solutions, programs and policies.
- Manages the onboarding and off boarding processes, including background check oversight, new hire orientation and new hire training programs, as well as COBRA and termination processes. Ensure all new hires are onboarded in accordance with company, state, and federal standards.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with external legal resources as needed/required.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Works closely with management and employees to maintain a culture that is indicative of our values as an organization; improving work relationships, building morale, and increasing productivity and retention.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all HR records and documentation, and maintain accurate and up to date files, records and documentation through BambooHR and ADP Workforce Now platforms.
- Develop contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
- Participate in the maintenance, evaluation and monitoring of training programs, to ensure training objectives are met.
- Support program participants’ right to express their religious affiliations and cultural traditions through preferred and relevant activities. Support diversity of individuals served through respect of religious preferences and/or cultural backgrounds.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or at least 5 years’ experience in related field
- Must have strong experience in Benefits and Compensation

- Must have the ability to multi-task and to work under pressure.

- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience with ADP Workforce Now and BambooHR a plus.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Preferred:
- PHR or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment preferred.
- Knowledge of HRIS platforms such as ADP and BambooHR also preferred.
