The Staff Development Coordinator plans and manages staff education programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Report to the Director of Nursing Services and Administrator.
- Lead, evaluate, and supervise resident care; initiate corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and implement annual educational schedules, approved by the Administrator and DNS.
- Disseminate monthly educational program calendars promptly.
- Maintain records of classes, attendance, and performance.
- Ensure ongoing education for all staff and update education profiles.
- Submit education programs to DPH as required.
- Conduct orientation for new hires; collaborate on educational needs.
- Uphold customer service standards.
- Handle additional duties such as Quality Assurance.
- Operate in office and facility environments.
- Engage physically throughout the workday.
- Available beyond normal hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) in Massachusetts.
- Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills:
- Proficient in English (written/spoken).
- Decision-making and leadership skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Knowledgeable in nursing practices and regulations.
- Ability to plan, develop, and interpret programs and policies.
- Continuously engage in education and training.
