Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Dietitian. The Dietitian provides clinical nutrition services to all Residents and to assist the Food Service Director in menu planning and food preparation in accordance with Federal, State and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator to assure that quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Dietary Department is maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner.

Responsibilities:

• Meet sanitation standards

• Follow all therapeutic diet guidelines, including proper temperature and serving time

• Educate department staff in all aspects of Dietary functions

• Assure the planning, preparation and serving of all therapeutic diets

• Oversees that sufficient inventory is maintained according to policy and procedure including emergency supply

• Formulate menu planning within accepted therapeutic guidelines

• Assure that menus are accurately adhered to and appropriate substitutes are made per policy

• Ensure quality and quantity of all food delivery

• Demonstrate correct safety techniques

• Respect and take care of facility equipment and is not wasteful of supplies

• Contribute to effective communication and pleasant working conditions C

• Contribute to and promote positive Resident and facility relations

• Follow facility policies and procedures

• Continue growth and expands job knowledge

• Demonstrate leadership skills

• Maximize the potential of each employee supervised

• Uphold the Salmon Brook Rehab and Nursing Customer service standard to residents, visitors and co-workers
