Summary
The Accounting Manager is responsible for the full cycle accounting of all operations with a deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting. This person will be responsible for leadership of the accounting department and ensure maintenance of accurate financial records, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and support the company’s financial strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, cashbook, general ledger management and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal policies.
- Document financial transactions of various types by entering account information data
- Manage cost accounting processes, including inventory valuation, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare payments by requesting disbursements and verifying documentation
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants for audits and tax filings.
- Support financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making processes.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial goals.
- Maintain customer confidence
- Ensure that legal financial requirements are adhered to and advice management on relevant actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems – Rubicon experience a PLUS
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
