Job : Senior Java Developer

Location :Raleigh, NC, USA

NC FAST requires a senior-level technical developer/programmer to support Operations and Maintenance. The role involves significant delivery responsibilities and serving as the on-site technical point of contact for development-related issues. The contractor will work closely with Senior Technical Consultants to support the design, development, and implementation of NC FAST using IBM Cram Software.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level development support for NC FAST Operations and Maintenance

• Serve as the primary on-site contact for development questions and technical issues

• Collaborate with Senior Technical Consultants on system design and development

• Participate in:

  • Functional and detailed requirements development

  • Functional and technical design

  • Code development and unit testing

  • Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions

  • Application lifecycle management

• Perform business and workflow process modeling

• Support business process re-engineering using Cram

• Utilize COTS Cram Enterprise Framework components

• Develop and configure:

  • Cram Intelligent Evidence Gathering (IEG2)

  • Cram Express Rules for Triage (CERT)

  • Cram Evidence Framework

• Work with Oracle databases and XML technologies within Cram

• Use Subversion for version control and WebSphere for application deployment

• Provide regular status updates to the NC FAST Project Manager

• Ensure compliance with NC DHHS policies and procedures

Required Skills

• Senior-level experience with IBM Cram Software

• Experience with NC FAST or large-scale government health systems

• Strong hands-on Java/J2EE development experience

• Experience with:

  • Business process and workflow modeling

  • Requirements analysis and design documentation

  • Cram Enterprise Framework

  • IEG2, CERT, and Cram Evidence Framework

• Experience working with Oracle databases

• Knowledge of XML technologies

• Experience using Subversion (SVN)

• Experience with WebSphere Application Server

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred / Desired Skills

• Experience with AWS Cloud Development

• Experience with Python

• Experience with SOAP and REST Web Services

Education

• Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Or equivalent professional work experience
