Warehouse/DOT Driver

Description:

Receives or transfers merchandise to and from other locations. Stocks and maintains warehouse. Arranges delivery of goods.

Job Purpose:

To achieve 100% efficiency and accuracy in the organization and preparation of shipments and deliveries from the time it arrives at the branch to when it leaves.

Duties:

Includes all warehouse-related duties, which includes and is not limited to the following;

• The secure off-loading and up-loading of goods from containers/trucks.
• Preparation of daily and future shipments and deliveries.
• Maintains inventory and shipping records by completing logs.
• Maintains and replenishes packing supplies.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by following company policies and procedures.
• Accomplishes warehousing and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed.
• Computer knowledge a must

Skills/Characteristics:

• Mature, responsible individual who can commit 100% to this full-time job.
• Able to perform daily manual labor that requires handling of heavy items.
• Able to follow instructions and work independently.
• Punctual with a positive attitude and respect for fellow employees

Minimum Qualifications:

• Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry system
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs., and occasionally lift 51 - 250 lbs. with assistance*, frequent bending.
• Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours.
• Must be able to work overtime, when necessary
• Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

*Use of safety equipment will be provided and is required for moving heavy equipment.

Required License or certification:

• Driver’s License
• DOT Medical Certificate for driving large delivery vehicle

Salary is negotiable based upon knowledge and experience.
