What are the responsibilities and job description for the Growth Engineer position at Reflex?
About The Role
You'll own and scale Reflex's growth engine — but this isn't a traditional marketing role. You'll write code, build systems, and ship infrastructure that drives acquisition, activation, and expansion. You'll partner closely with the CEO and growth team to architect, build, and iterate on growth as a product.

What You'll Do
Growth Engineering
- Build and own the technical infrastructure behind Reflex's growth — pipelines, attribution, experimentation frameworks, and data models
- Write code that directly moves metrics: landing pages, onboarding flows, conversion experiments, internal tools
- Set strategy alongside the CEO, but bias toward shipping over slide decks
- Engineer scalable acquisition channels — programmatic SEO, automated content pipelines, referral systems, and virality mechanics
- Build and optimize performance marketing infrastructure (tracking, attribution, bid automation)
- Design and launch bold, technical marketing stunts that resonate with a developer audience
- Own the website and signup funnel as a product — instrument every step, run continuous A/B tests, and ship improvements weekly
- Build and optimize the sales handoff pipeline, lead scoring, and routing logic
- Treat conversion rate as a codebase, not a dashboard
- Design and implement onboarding flows, activation triggers, and smart paywalls directly in the product
- Build in-product expansion and upsell paths — usage-based nudges, team invites, upgrade prompts
- Work closely with the product engineering team to embed growth into the core experience
- Help turn Reflex into a cult brand among developers
- Engineer UGC loops, community tooling, and viral mechanics across LinkedIn, X, GitHub, and beyond
- Create campaigns that are technically impressive, not just loud
- Build and own the growth data stack — event tracking, dashboards, experiment analysis, cohort models
- Run fast, disciplined experiments with statistical rigor
- Make growth legible: if it's not instrumented, it doesn't exist
