What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner position at Reflections Behavioral Health Agency?
Duties:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medication and monitor its effectiveness
- Provide therapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric disorders, treatments, and medications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
