Software Developer: Developer Experience (EBB70F9)

Referment is working with a global investment and technology business to find a software developer for its Developer Experience team. The group builds the tools, platforms and infrastructure that shape how engineers write, review, test and ship software.

This role sits at the intersection of productivity engineering and platform development. You will work directly with developers to understand friction, then build and integrate practical improvements across IDEs, build systems, CI/CD and AI-assisted workflows.

The Role

• Work with internal developers to identify needs, resolve issues and support adoption of better tools and processes.
• Build IDE integrations and enhancements for productivity, navigation and in-editor tooling.
• Own and improve build infrastructure for speed, reliability and reproducibility across diverse codebases.
• Streamline CI/CD, testing and deployment workflows.
• Evaluate and integrate AI-powered developer tools responsibly.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to turn requirements into delivered solutions.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree or higher and at least three years in software development, infrastructure or developer tooling.
• Strong coding and problem-solving skills in Linux environments.
• Experience with IDE integrations, CI/CD systems, version control or developer-productivity platforms.
• An understanding of AI technologies and interest in their use within engineering workflows.
• Clear communication and evidence of working directly with users.
