Product Manager — Legal Technology Infrastructure (F7B1D55)

Referment is working with a global investment and technology business to hire a product manager for a new legal technology team. You will own the infrastructure that governs how legal documents and metadata are stored, organised and retrieved, creating the foundations for both dependable legal workflows and AI-enabled capabilities.

The role brings platform strategy, document systems and legal operations together. You will partner closely with attorneys, engineers and product colleagues, turning complex retrieval needs into a coherent roadmap and guiding initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration.

The Role

• Define the infrastructure roadmap for document storage, metadata architecture and scalable information access.
• Translate legal and business pain points into clear technical requirements and priorities.
• Shape infrastructure for semantic search, deterministic clause retrieval and relational metadata.
• Work with AI engineers to select appropriate retrieval approaches for different legal use cases.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives through the full product lifecycle, defining scope, dependencies and success measures.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• A bachelor's degree or higher and five to ten years of relevant product-management experience.
• Experience partnering closely with software engineers on technically complex products.
• Strong written and verbal communication, sound judgement and comfort with open-ended problems.
• Background in platform, infrastructure, data, search, content-management or document-centric products.
  
  

Relevant Desirable Experience

Storage systems, information architecture, metadata modelling, semantic search, knowledge retrieval or document-processing pipelines would be useful. This could suit a technical product manager who wants to establish the foundations of a specialist document platform.
