The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to resolve issues efficiently. This full-time position will work closely with the land surveying team to prepare CAD drawings for boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ROS, and ALTA surveys. This position requires the candidate to work in office.

Job Title And Summary
Reeve & Associates is looking for a Survey Drafter interested in joining a fast-growing, family-led engineering firm. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to resolve issues efficiently. This full-time position will work closely with the land surveying team to prepare CAD drawings for boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ROS, and ALTA surveys. This position requires the candidate to work in office.
Responsibilities
- Import, review, and process raw survey data (points, descriptions, and elevations) from field crews into AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Identify and resolve data "spikes", rod height errors, or linework discrepancies through coordination with field crews.
- Utilize field codes and description keys to automatically or manually generate features such as building footprints, curb lines, and utility paths.
- Maintain highly organized project folders and clean CAD file structures.
- Assist in the preparation of legal descriptions, Record of Survey (ROS) plats, subdivision plats and official maps for county filing.
- Create detailed ALTA surveys and Boundary surveys.
- Combine field-located utility data with record maps to create comprehensive subsurface utility drawings.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and field staff to clarify design intent, scope, and permitting requirements.
- Ensure all deliverables adhere to company CAD standards as well as state, local, and client-specific drafting statutes.
- Complete project tasks within defined scopes, budgets, and schedules without compromising quality.
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Land Survey Drafting.
- 3 years of AutoCAD experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience with survey computations and platting, including boundary surveys, record of surveys, and ALTA surveys.
- Ability to demonstrate strong self-motivational and organizational skills.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suites.

Salary : $45,000 - $65,000
