Job Summary:
Main & Sky is looking for a dependable Hotel Maintenance Engineer. The Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems. This role plays a key part in providing guests with a safe, comfortable, and high-quality experience by maintaining the hotel's physical assets to brand and safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house spaces, and building systems
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment and facilities
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest service calls
- Maintain the property's tools, equipment, and maintenance inventory
- Assist in monitoring energy usage and implementing conservation measures
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards and regulations
- Support special projects, renovations, and emergency repairs as required
- Collaborate with housekeeping, front desk, and other departments to address maintenance issues efficiently
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance logs
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in engineering, maintenance, or a related field preferred
- 2 years of experience in building or facility maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and equipment manuals
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
- Must be available for on-call shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
