Who are we?

Midwest Hardwood Company is a hardwood manufacturing company and industrial building product distributor serving domestic and international customers since 1981.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

· Responsible for bundling lumber in a fast-paced hardwood lumber manufacturing environment.

· Pulls boards from chain and stacks into carts.

· Places boards onto carts by color code/grade marks.

· Ensures lumber piles on carts are straight and even-ended, provide visually attractive packs.

· Ensures lumber piles on carts are not mixed and are sorted according to grade.

· Directs questions concerning lumber packages or grade marks to the supervisor.

· Maintain a clean and uncluttered work area, help in end of shift clean up.

· Preforms other duties when assigned.

· Ability to communicate with others in a positive manner through verbal and written means.

Qualifications / Experience Required:

· Must have exceptional attendance

· Ability to multitask with attention to detail

· Must be self-motivated and able to work independently

· Good communication skills

· Willing to cross train in other roles

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to bend and twist repetitively

· Must be able repetitively lift 50Lbs

· Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time

· Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled environment (summer hot and winter cold)

· Noisy, fast-paced, semi-dirty

· Safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection are required in production areas

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
