We are seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to serve as the company's primary legal advisor, supporting all aspects of legal, compliance, and business operations. This role will work closely with executive leadership to provide practical, business-focused legal guidance across contracts, employment matters, regulatory compliance, and strategic transactions.
The ideal candidate is a proactive and solutions-oriented legal professional who can navigate complex legal issues, manage risk, and support company growth in a fast-paced environment. Location and Compensation
- Location: Based in Fort, Worth, Texas
- Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience

Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory and Contract Management
- Provide legal advice and guidance to executive leadership and internal departments
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and commercial agreements
- Support business operations by identifying risks and offering practical legal solutions
Employment and Labor Law
- Advise Human Resources and leadership on federal and state employment laws, including the Texas Labor Code, NLRA, OSHA, Title VII, ADA, wage-and-hour regulations, and contingent worker compliance
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary actions to ensure legal compliance and risk mitigation
- Draft and review executive offer letters, employment agreements, and separation agreements
- Lead or support internal investigations as needed, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with applicable laws
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations
- Monitor legal developments and provide guidance on changes impacting the business
- Develop and maintain company policies and compliance programs
Litigation and Outside Counsel Management
- Oversee and manage legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters
- Coordinate with and manage outside counsel to achieve favorable outcomes and control costs
Mergers, Acquisitions and Strategic Transactions
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, including due diligence, contract review, and integration activities
- Provide legal guidance throughout the transaction process to identify risks and ensure compliance
Corporate Governance and Business Support
- Support corporate governance activities and internal processes
- Provide legal input on business initiatives and strategic decisions
- Assist with special projects and transactions as needed
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Licensed and in good standing with the state bar
- 5-8 years of relevant legal experience in corporate, employment, or related fields
- Strong experience in contracts, employment law, compliance, and transactional support
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical, business-focused solutions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Unquestionable ethics and professionalism, with the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion
