Position Summary The Paralegal will be responsible for the working with internal deal counsel in the documentation and closing ofreal estate financing transactions. This position will work closely with, internal deal team members, outsidevendors and/or other third parties.Responsibilities & DutiesResearch all Addresses and APNs for real estate financing transactions.Review title commitments to ensure compliance with CoreVest’s standards.Assist with drafting of unsigned documents as needed on real estate financing transactions.Work with CoreVest’s counsel to facilitate an efficient loan closing process.Work with CoreVest’s counsel to review borrower entity documentation, structures, and background searches.Assist with the review of closing packages to ensure that they are complete, and deals are ready for funding.Effectively apply project coordination and loan closing standards.Develop, and implement, best practices and processes for real estate financing transactions.Communicate effectively and productively with underwriters, loan managers, loan originators, and other key people and departments involved in real estate financing transactions.Serve as backup for other key people and departments when someone is out of office.Required Experience & SkillsParalegal certificate as well as a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experiencePreferably 2 years working experience in commercial real estate loan transaction experienceStrong working knowledge of business associations, corporate formation, and loan documentsEscrow and title experience are plusesProficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsA reasonable estimate of the total compensation range for this role is $71,000-$90,000. The actual salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, geographic location, training, licensure and certification, and other factors.
