Delivery Driver (warehouse) in Carrollton, TX

Delivery Driver (warehouse/distribution)-

• Our ideal candidate must have 3 years experience driving/making deliveries with oversized vehicles (16 & 26 ft box truck- non CDL)
• Must be comfortable driving in the Dallas-Fort Worth and surrounding areas while also working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Must be comfortable and have the ability to interact with customers.
• Must be willing to perform other duties on non-delivery days (pulling, packing and shipping in our air-conditioned 160,000 sq. ft. warehouse)
• Direct Hire - Full-Time - Paid Weekly
• Monday - Friday 7:30am-5:00pm or until last delivery plus required overtime, including occassional Saturdays as business demands.

This position will deliver local customer orders and make local pick-ups. There is a strong emphasis to ensure accurate and efficient deliveries while following all company protocols and maintaining safe driving habits. This position may include but is not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

• Make timely and accurate deliveries while working courteously with customers
• Make order pick-ups from suppliers
• Drive and maintain 26’ box truck
• Perform routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety of the vehicle
• Record any delivery/pick-up discrepancies and inform management of any delays in delivery schedule
• Loading and unloading product to/from truck by hand, dolly, or forklift
• Maintain company vehicle and report any damage to the vehicle
• Communicate closely with warehouse management and customer service
• Ability to have flexibility with route changes and make good judgment calls when presented with delivery challenges
• Work with pullers, packers, and stockers to maintain an efficient working environment
• Assist with pulling, packaging, and shipping customer orders
• Keep warehouse organized and clean to maintain safety and health regulations

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Warehouse delivery experience
• Candidates must be at least 25 years of age
• Positive can-do attitude with excellent driver safety skills
• Friendly, optimistic, self-motivated personality with excellent communication skills
• Flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, push carts over 60 lbs, and use ladders
• Must be able to operate a pallet jack and organize pallets
• Must be able to physically stand, reach, pull, bend, stoop and kneel for long periods of time
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background as well as E-Verify

Physical Demands/Work Environment

• This employee is frequently required to stand or sit for long periods, walk constantly, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regular use of pallet jack.
• Casual is required, comfortable loose-fitting clothes and tennis shoes. Must wear company uniform when making deliveries.
