The Role
As Packing Coordinator, you’ll run daily packing department to make sure customer orders are packed accurately, efficiently, and to our quality standards. You’ll be the main point of contact for packing associates and temporary staff, and you’ll report to the Outbound Supervisor/Manager.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the packing team, assign work, and balance workloads to meet shipping deadlines
- Train new hires on packing procedures, quality standards, and safety, and give ongoing coaching
- Check products, quantities, labels, and packaging before orders ship
- Investigate and fix packing errors, shortages, and damages
- Work with Picking, Inventory Control, and Shipping to keep orders moving
- Track productivity, accuracy, and on-time shipments, and flag issues or staffing needs to supervisors
- Enforce safety policies and keep work areas clean and organized
- Help with hands-on packing when deadlines call for it
What You Bring
- 2 years of warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution experience
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 year of leadership experience and WMS experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Physical Requirements
- Stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift, including up to 50 lbs regularly
- Work overtime and weekends as needed
- Work in a warehouse with varying temperatures
