This fully onsite role in Saratoga NY will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial leadership, overseeing all accounting operations, project financial management, and financial reporting, while also directly managing the company's payroll, employee benefits, and HR-related compliance, ensuring robust internal controls and financial health.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Accounting:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, A/P, A/R, general ledger, and month/year-end close.
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong accounting policies and internal controls.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial planning.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, WIP reports, P&Ls, job costing, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor project costs, review invoices, and provide financial analysis for bids/change orders.
- Ensure GAAP compliance and coordinate with external auditors/tax advisors.
Payroll & HR Functions:
- Directly manage the entire payroll process, including processing, tax deposits, and filings.
- Administer all employee benefit programs (health, retirement), including enrollment and communication.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, wage & hour regulations, and manage HR records.
- Support senior management on HR matters, fostering positive employee relations, and resolving complex issues.
- Collaborate on recruitment, onboarding, and performance management from a financial/compliance perspective.
Strategic & Operational Support:
- Provide financial insights and support to senior leadership and project teams.
- Manage financial software, ERP systems, and implement process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA a plus.
- Extensive experience in construction accounting with hands-on payroll/HR experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Viewpoint) and Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, tax laws, and labor regulations.
- Excellent analytical, leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Must be able to commute daily to work location in Saratoga NY.
