Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per year (based on experience)
Experience: 3–5 years of HR experience, including 2 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role
Education: Bachelor's degree required; SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification preferred
A respected, values-driven organization in the Amsterdam, NY area is looking for an Assistant Director- Talent Acquisition to play a key leadership role in shaping workplace culture and supporting a large, dedicated workforce.
Responsibilities for the Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition include:
- Develop and oversee recruitment strategies to attract and retain top-tier talent
- Support inclusive hiring practices and workforce planning
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals
- Build and maintain HR dashboards for KPIs like turnover and cost-per-hire
- Use HR metrics to inform strategy and reporting for senior leadership
- Work closely with HRIS, Benefits, and HR teams to ensure data accuracy
- Resolve employee relations issues fairly and empathetically
- Advise managers on complex HR policies and best practices
- Help build a workplace rooted in engagement, equity, and compliance
- Support the Director of HR on high-level initiatives
- Mentor HR team members and foster internal growth
- Represent HR in cross-functional planning and projects
Qualifications for the role of Assistant Director of Talent Acquisition:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Admin, or related field
- 3–5 years of HR experience including recruiting and employee relations
- 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with HRIS/ATS systems
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Empathetic leadership style with high integrity
- Preferred: SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification
