What this is
AFA is where “good” gets sharpened into “field-ready.” Route planning. Standards. Execution. We need an instructor who can teach advanced install thinking and run high-rep build simulations with high expectations.
What you’ll do
Teach route planning and raceway selection (EMT, rigid, tray, wireway).
Train print/spec awareness and install standards used in real projects.
Teach voltage separation low-voltage best practices when applicable.
Run timed build reps that simulate jobsite pace, constraints, and QC expectations.
Coach troubleshooting habits, punch-list readiness, and professional communication.
Evaluate performance using rubrics/checkoffs and recommend pass/remediation.
Required
Journeyman-level field experience (or equivalent) in commercial/industrial electrical.
Strong experience in planning/install execution (you can do it and teach it).
Working knowledge of NEC concepts relevant to routing and separation.
Educator/Coach requirement (formal instructor or proven trainer/mentor/foreman).
Strong presence. Calm authority. High standards.
Preferred
Large-project experience (spec-driven environments).
OSHA 10/30 (or willing to obtain).
Experience teaching adults or running internal training programs.
