What are the responsibilities and job description for the OB Tech (Surgical Tech) Unit Secretary position at Redlands Community Hospital?
Hourly pay range: $25.62 min - $37.15 max
Reporting to Nurse Manager this position has knowledge of obstetrical procedures and is immediately accountable to the RN’s directing patient care. The Surgical Tech/Unit Secretary is responsible for observing principles of sterile technique and following direction provided by the RN.

Education/Training/ Experience
- One year of clerical experience and computer knowledge, and background in a hospital setting, preferred.
- Completion of medical terminology course preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous OB Technician or Surgical Technician experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
- High school graduation or equivalent preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Surgical Technician certification preferred.
- Requirements for Surgical Tech II: One-year experience and Surgical Tech Certification (CST, NCCT, or NBSTSA) required.
