What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Diagnostic Med Sonographer position at Redlands Community Hospital?
Reporting to the Radiology Department Manager, this position Provides health care services, applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment; performs ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the following area: in all disciplines including but not limited to OB/GYN, abdomen, neurosonology, vascular and/or small parts and demonstrates anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner; exercises professional judgment in performance of services and applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Education/Training/ Experience
- 2 years’ experience in a hospital setting as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer preferred
- Previous lead or supervisor experience preferred
- Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography in OB/GYN, Abdominal, Breast and/or Vascular required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Current MAB test required within 6 months of hire if assigned to work in the Emergency Department.
