What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief of Staff position at RediRecruit, LLC?
Location: Los Angeles, CA (On-site / Hybrid)
We are hiring a Chief of Staff / Right Hand to the CEO for our client based in Los Angeles. This is a high-impact, high-trust role working directly with the CEO to solve the company’s most critical and highest-priority problems.
This is not a traditional, function-specific Chief of Staff role. You will operate as a true generalist and operator, stepping into ambiguous, unstructured situations and driving outcomes across different parts of the business.
You will act as an extension of the CEO—taking ownership of key initiatives, resolving complex challenges, and ensuring execution at the highest level.
- Work directly with the CEO on the most important priorities at any given time
- Take ownership of ambiguous, unstructured problems and drive them through to completion
- Lead and execute cross-functional initiatives across operations, product, go-to-market, strategy, and people
- Step in to run critical functions or projects on a short-term basis when needed
- Build, launch, and scale new initiatives, processes, or business functions (0→1 and beyond)
- Identify organizational or operational gaps and proactively solve them
- Act as a trusted extension of the CEO across teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and execution
- Handle sensitive, high-impact work requiring strong judgment and discretion
- Experience working across multiple functions (e.g., operations, product, GTM, strategy, people)
- Comfortable switching contexts quickly and operating in different problem spaces
- Track record of owning and driving outcomes, not just advising
- Clear evidence of execution in past roles (e.g., built, launched, owned, led initiatives)
- Experience working directly with a founder, CEO, or senior leadership team
- Roles such as Chief of Staff, early startup operator, or Strategy & Operations partner
- Experience in fast-paced, early-stage, or 0→1 environments
- Ability to operate effectively without clear structure or defined scope
- Ownership of “special projects” or undefined, high-priority initiatives
- Someone who can be trusted with sensitive and mission-critical work
- Demonstrates strong judgment, accountability, and ownership
- Not overly scoped or limited to a single function
- Chief of Staff to CEO (execution-focused, not administrative)
- Business Operations / Strategy & Operations / BizOps roles with ownership
- Early employee or operator at a startup (first 10–50 employees preferred)
- General Manager or “mini-GM” experience
- Experience leading special projects or working in the Office of the CEO
- Former founder or entrepreneurial experience is a strong plus
- Direct exposure to and partnership with the CEO
- Ownership of the company’s most important initiatives
- Opportunity to work across all functions and shape key decisions
- High visibility, impact, and accelerated career growth
