Duties
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install metal stud framing and wood framing components according to construction plans and schematics
- Read blueprints and technical drawings accurately to interpret project specifications and ensure proper installation
- Install drywall panels efficiently, ensuring proper alignment, fastening, and surface preparation for finishing
- Perform drywall mudding, taping, texturing, and repair work to achieve smooth, professional surfaces
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install framing materials and drywall components
- Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and fixture installation techniques to enhance interior finishes
- Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocols during all phases of work
Requirements
- Proven experience in drywall installation, framing, or related construction roles with a solid understanding of construction plans and schematics
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise execution of tasks
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, hammers, levels, as well as power tools used in drywall texturing and framing
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and familiarity with building codes related to drywall and framing work
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence on construction sites
- Experience with drywall mudding, taping, repair techniques, and finishing processes such as texturing or plastering is highly desirable
- Construction site experience including working with plumbing systems, masonry elements, or remodeling projects is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to project changes or unforeseen challenges
